  If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I recently built a house and wanted to go to a small business instead of a big box store to get all of our flooring. We ended up picking out hallmark flooring (novella collection). The floors were never the problem the service was. After being told multiple times that the floors would be flush with our tile , once the floors were delivered , we quickly found out there would be a significant difference in height from the tile to the wood flooring. Let's just say I totally felt like Liz and the rest of the sales team got one over on me. When we called Liz over at EPC she argued with us the whole time that "she never said that" and went back and forth with us on who was right and the only solution she would give us was to ramp the tile up to the wood flooring so it would be flush. Nothing like putting a band aid on a brand new house. We ended up having to buy underlayment for under all of the wood floors which was quite pricey and EPC refused to even cut the cost with us or even do anything for that matter to make the situation better. Not to mention that these Hallmark floors need a SPECIAL NAIL GUN to install them. That was another extra cost they never told us. Overall, I believe in great customer service over anything and that was never the case here. I would never refer anyone to EPC.

  Essex Paint and Carpet's entire staff is made of nice and knowledgeable people. There was no "hard sell" involved when I went to ask about tile shower materials. Devin was able to explain all the product lines they carried, and also explain the entire install process. Stuart was an expert installer, very comforting to have him arrive at our home and do the work. He was courteous, clean, and efficient. Joe was great about the follow-up. He did a final inspection and verifed of our satisfaction with the job. We were very impressed with Essex Paint and Carpet.
